Ferro+ Iron Food Supplement is a supplement that contains Lipofer®, microencapsulated pyrophosphate iron. Microencapsulation consists of an iron-based preparation conveyed inside a phospholipid membrane (sunflower lecithin). This technology makes iron highly bioavailable, well tolerated, rapidly absorbed and allows the microelement to pass the gastric environment unscathed, with a lower incidence of side effects (Visciano et al., 2013). Furthermore, the characteristic strong taste of iron is masked and this has made it possible to obtain good and, therefore, chewable tablets.

Vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron in the gastrointestinal tract while vitamin B12 contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells.
